About us
School of Management Studies (SMS) Library is the largest and oldest department library in CUSAT. With more than 50000 books and other learning resources, the library is well equipped to serve the management students, researchers, faculty members and professionals. It is one of the best B-School libraries in India and the most busiest environment in the SMS. It always renewed and restructured itself to cope with technological advancements and changing needs of its academic community.
SMS Library has automated its operations with KOHA, open source software since 2009 and provides access to library OPAC.
The library holds a collection of around 25 print periodicals including subject journals and popular magazines. The library subscribes to 7 newspapers including two Malayalam dailies. High speed internet connectivity is made available in the library by which our clientele enjoys and utilises IP-enabled access to a wide range of electronic resources that support their teaching, learning and research activities. The e-resources includes the bibliographic databases SCOPUS & WEB OF SCIENCE, full-text databases like EMERALD, SCIENCEDIRECT, SPRINGER COLLECTION, WILEY COLLECTION, T&F COLLECTION, PROQUEST ONE BUSINESS, etc. The SMS Library also provides access to certain financial databases such as CMIE PROWESS, EPWRF ITC, INDIASTAT, Institute for Studies in Industrial Development (ISID) DATABASE, etc. Access to around 200+ e-books are also being provided by the us.
The library also house around 5400 PhD/MPhil theses and MBA Project reports.
The library provides access to syllabus of various courses as well as previous question papers of university exams.
